Please do not use this Payment Portal for payment of any Domestic Relations costs or payments. This portal is for use only for payments to the General Trial Division of the Court of Common Pleas. Please refer to the Payment Portal for Domestic Relations to execute those payments. In all cases, it is mandatory that the case number be included in order for your payments to process. Failure to provide the case number may result in your payment not being recorded.

Attention

The Lucas County Clerk of Courts Office E-Filing system will be offline starting September 30, 2024, 2024, at 5:00 PM. It is anticipated that the system will be online on October 7, 2024, at 9:00 AM. If the system becomes available sooner notification will be sent to e-filers thru E-File OH.

The Lucas County Clerk of Courts Office will continue to accept paper filings. Entries with the exception of financials will continue to be made on cases until October 2, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Please note that the Lucas County Clerk of Courts Office will be using paper receipts on October 1, 2024, thru October 3, 2024. The Lucas County Clerk of Courts Office will be closed to the public on October 4, 2024. If you are provided a paper receipt, your payment will be added to your case as soon as possible. The new system will reflect payment made on the date of entry with a notation of the actual payment date.

The Courts portion of the system will go offline October 2, 2024, at 5:00 PM. The Court will continue to operate on paper until October 4, 2024. Cases will be updated once the new system is online. Please note that the Courts will be closed to the public on October 4, 2024.

The Lucas County Clerk of Courts Office will have a new online docket, https://portal-ohlucas.tylertech.cloud/portal, for General Division case information. The page will be updated on October 7, 2024 to allow for searching of the new system.

Overview

The Criminal Division of the Clerk of Courts maintains all paperwork for felony case proceedings. The division receives all filings pertaining to a particular case and executes the necessary paperwork in each phase of the criminal justice system, including indictments, arraignments, and issuance of subpoenas for grand jury and trial witnesses.

Other duties include posting bonds, calculating and collecting court costs, paying witnesses, and preparing documents required for the transfer of defendants to court designated institutions.
